UML x Disney Chinese New Year event at Megabox

Megabox held a Chinese New Year "UML x Disney" (米奇與好友喜慶新春) event, supported by UML.

It is the first time a Disney and local Hong Kong theme have intergrated into Chinese New Year decorations, where our Disney and Play Buddies play sets magnified into life-size characters including a 12-ft Mickey peach blossom tree...perfect for friends and family to take photos!

To mark the occasion, a press conference was held on Jan 13, 2013 (Sunday) at Megabox 5/F Atrium with local TVB actress Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) as guest.

In addtion to the press conference, a New Years Union Shopping Arcade is also on the 5/F featuring UML and Toys R Us, filled with Disney gifts perfect for Megabox shoppers. On the 9th floor catered to Toys, Play Buddies Chinese New Year life-size figures are on display for families to take pictures at "Mickey & Minnie Hit It Off Decoration".

The Chinese New Year decorations featured a 12-foot Peach Blossom, Mickey & Friends play set figures which were inspired by Dragon Models Limited's Disney licensed CNY 6" play sets and a showcase with Play Buddies play sets. To officiate, guest TVB actress Aimee Chan, UML Director of Business Development Adrian Leung and Megabox General Manager Czarina Man were present to kick-off the event with 24" Mickey & Minnie art figures. The kick-off event also featured Aimee Chan playing festive Chinese New Year games with two little kids dressed in Chinese traditional outfits.
