What is HIT TEAM?

Hit Team is much more unseen comparing to the SDU.

The key purpose of the SDU was against terrorists and to attend special operations. However, due to the many jewelry robbery cases in downtown HK, this resulted in an unusually high exposure of the SDU in the media during the early 1990's. This is the main reason for the forming of Hit Team. Today, although SDU is the star of the HK Police in the minds of many people, however, they seldom perform major tasks, instead, the members of the Hit Team take over many of the operations.

Hit Team belongs to the Criminal Intelligence Bureau (CIB). Most of the members are former SDU and G-4 members. Their purpose is not to "combat in the frontline", rather is to prevent the crime from happening in the early stage. Members of Hit Team take action quite often, however, must be kept in confidential. For this reason, they seldom appear in media, and often work in secrecy.
